Racquets

Members and guests are expected to wear acceptable tennis clothing on the courts. We allow color on your tennis clothing. Regulation tennis shoes are the only footwear permitted on the courts. All male players must wear collared or dri-fit shirts. Appropriate denim is permitted at the Racquet Hut; however, bathing suits, torn or threadbare garments of any kind, cutoffs, racing shorts and tops, football jerseys, etc., are not permitted.

The USTA has established rules for play and etiquette. It is the responsibility of each player to know and follow this etiquette. Good manners and sportsmanship are expected of players on and off the courts. Upon completion of play please remove all balls and trash that was yours from the court so that your fellow members have a clean court to play on.

Reservations for the Racquet Hut may be made with Dan Harnos at 610-688-1992 or [email protected]. The rental fee for the use of the hut and courts is $150.00. Food and beverage may be ordered in advance through our Catering & Special Events Manager at 610-688-4000 ext. 301.

Assignment of parties is the sole responsibility of the Club Manager with assistance by the Pro. Primary consideration in renting the facility is not to interfere with member players. All guests must observe the rules of the courts and be sponsored by a Club member, and are the responsibility of that member. All charges will be billed through the Club member. Additionally, the Club member assumes all liability for any damages.

The courts may be closed if they are too soft and dangerous to play on. Communication will be made by the staff to all members who have courts reserved. The Reserve My Court website will also be updated so members know when the courts will be reopened.

Members of Overbrook who are interested in coming down to the Racquets Facility to play tennis, paddle, and or pickle ball may do so without a racquets membership 5 times. You will be charged a guest fee of $15 per time during these 5 times. Once you play a 6th time you will be charged for a racquets membership. Private lessons and/or clinics do not count towards your 5 times.

Racquet Members may bring guests to play but you MUST communicate that to the staff when reserving the court online by listing the guest(s) names under the notes section of your reservation. The guest fee is $15 per guest. Members may purchase an unlimited seasonal guest pass for $170 but need to communicate that to the racquets office manager by a predetermined date at the start of the season.
